12/15/2023 0 Comments On account of synonymsHIV isn't spread through the air, water or insect bites. That means you can't catch HIV or AIDS by hugging, kissing, dancing or shaking hands with someone who has the infection. You can't become infected with HIV through ordinary contact. Mothers who are HIV-positive and get treatment for the infection during pregnancy can significantly lower the risk to their babies. Infected mothers can pass the virus on to their babies. During pregnancy or delivery or through breastfeeding. The risk may be higher in low-income countries that are not able to screen all donated blood. Hospitals and blood banks screen the blood supply for HIV, so this risk is very small in the U.S. In some cases, the virus may be transmitted through blood transfusions. Sharing contaminated injection drug paraphernalia (needles and syringes) puts you at high risk of HIV and other infectious diseases, such as hepatitis. The virus can enter your body through mouth sores or small tears that sometimes develop in the rectum or vagina during sexual activity. You may become infected if you have vaginal, anal or oral sex with an infected partner whose blood, semen or vaginal secretions enter your body. To become infected with HIV, infected blood, semen or vaginal secretions must enter your body. AIDS is diagnosed when the CD4 T cell count falls below 200 or you have an AIDS-defining complication, such as a serious infection or cancer. You can have an HIV infection, with few or no symptoms, for years before it turns into AIDS. The fewer CD4 T cells you have, the weaker your immune system becomes. HIV destroys CD4 T cells - white blood cells that play a large role in helping your body fight disease. It can spread through sexual contact, illicit injection drug use or sharing needles, contact with infected blood, or from mother to child during pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding. If you think you may have been infected with HIV or are at risk of contracting the virus, see a health care provider as soon as possible. Persistent white spots or unusual lesions on your tongue or in your mouth. The signs and symptoms of some of these infections may include: These are called opportunistic infections or opportunistic cancers. You'll be more likely to develop diseases that wouldn't usually cause illness in a person with a healthy immune system. When AIDS occurs, your immune system has been severely damaged. Untreated, HIV typically turns into AIDS in about 8 to 10 years. Thanks to these life-saving treatments, most people with HIV in the U.S. Swollen lymph nodes - often one of the first signs of HIV infectionĪccess to better antiviral treatments has dramatically decreased deaths from AIDS worldwide, even in resource-poor countries.Symptomatic HIV infectionĪs the virus continues to multiply and destroy your immune cells - the cells in your body that help fight off germs - you may develop mild infections or chronic signs and symptoms such as: Some people develop more severe disease much sooner. This stage can last for many years if you're receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART). However, many people may not have any symptoms or infections during this time. In this stage of infection, HIV is still present in the body and in white blood cells. As a result, the infection spreads more easily during primary infection than during the next stage. However, the amount of virus in your bloodstream (viral load) is quite high at this time. These symptoms can be so mild that you might not even notice them. Swollen lymph glands, mainly on the neck. This illness, known as primary (acute) HIV infection, may last for a few weeks. Some people infected by HIV develop a flu-like illness within 2 to 4 weeks after the virus enters the body. The symptoms of HIV and AIDS vary, depending on the phase of infection.

12/15/2023 0 Comments Reddit second galaxyOne coming mobile MMO that seems interesting and coming soon is Dragon Raja, and it combines both fantasy and SF elements. If you like anime type MMO, I might suggest Swords Art Online Integral Factor, or the mobile Ragnarok Online. If you're looking for MMOs, don't mind Asian fantasy stuff, you might like to try Perfect World. There is always EVE Online in PC, Elite Dangerous in both PC and console, Star Trek Online in both PC and console. There are other space MMOs in mobile but they fall into the build bases and fleets type, and is more of the strategic level. I don't know something for you to hold then. The creative direction of the game feels a bit questionable, it doesn't feel right, doesn't immerse you into the beauty and lore of its universe like EVE does. Its a big mistake to have pilots with repetitive artwork they should have made them unique. Overall, I am still very impressed with the technical quality of the game and the ship artwork for some of the ships, but others are ugly. What bothers me more is that the stories suck, and they should have made plots and sub plots more accessible and easier to find, build the game based on story and lore, before rushing the playerbase into playing PvP. Many mobile games however are also pay to win. Big mistake for a company trying to build its player base. And yes SG is pay to win after some recent offerings. Echoes seems to be a game catered to EVE fans and succeeds strongly this way. Space MMO? Mobile MMO? I played EVE Echoes a bit and I thought that SG is a game that is easier to get into. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Silverback gorilla weightThe average silverback weighs about 350 pounds and stands five-and-a-half feet tall, striking a silverback 10 times out of a Grizzly 10. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Fees altice optimum packagesOptimum’s smart router gives you better Wi-Fi coverage in your house while ensuring you are on the fastest network. If you decide to bundle at some point, you’ll see even more savings since you won’t have to pay an extra equipment fee for a cable box. Optimum and its sibling Suddenlink are the only providers with such a device. You could pay for 1-2 streaming subscriptions with the money you save choosing Optimum over its competitors - especially if you rent the Altice One, which is Optimum’s all-in-one streaming device, modem/router, and cable receiver. There aren’t exciting freebies like a free streaming subscription, but Optimum has features you may not realize you need. You’re still able to cancel service anytime after that without paying an ETF. Households streaming on multiple devicesįor one, you get to test drive their service with their 60-day, money-back guarantee.People who don’t want to commit to a provider. If not, expect to pay at least $59 for installation. If you decide to rent equipment from Optimum, you may be able to get standard installation for free. Optimum’s internet fees are on par with those of other cable and fiber internet providers when you look at them as a whole. Most also have random one-off fees for Wi-Fi, network enhancements, and more. Speaking of fees, all internet providers charge extra fees for things like equipment rental, installation, and activation. Optimum gets extra points for its internet pricing due to its streaming-friendly features, which make it a great choice of internet provider for cord-cutters: With fiber, you can get faster upload speeds than you could with cable internet, and your speeds will be much closer to (or even faster than) your plan’s advertised speed. Fiber is the best internet connection for cord-cutters because it’s the most reliable. Take Optimum’s fiber and cable internet, for example. Of course, speed isn’t the only thing to consider when looking at a provider’s pricing.Ĭertain connection types can provide a more stable connection with slower speeds than others with faster speeds. In fact, most providers with plans as low as $45 per month either offer DSL plans or plans with speeds ranging from 50-200 Mbps. Starting at $44.99 for the Optimum 300 plan, Optimum offers great internet value, especially when you compare Optimum to Verizon Fios. The best way to compare a provider’s pricing is to look at its price per Mbps. Optimum’s internet-only plans start at $30-50 per month, not including equipment and additional fees. A Breakdown of Optimum’s Plan and Pricing There’s more than enough room for your speed to slow down without making you feel like there’s a problem with your connection. That’s why Optimum’s high-speed tiers are worth considering. And it doesn’t matter who the provider is cable networks can only handle so much congestion. Cable internet speeds slow down, similar to how traffic does when everyone is going home from work. Since Optimum is mostly a cable internet provider, you should also expect to get speeds slower than what’s advertised at certain times. Let’s not forget, too, that there aren’t any data caps or contracts required for Optimum’s internet plans - these are some of the things I look for first when searching for a provider. Usually, hotspot access is something only nationwide providers offer. I’m actually surprised that a regional provider like Optimum, one that’s only available in a small part of the U.S., offers free hotspot access. Optimum offers free internet security, a router that can provide a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout your home, and free access to their public hotspots. If you’ve had your fair share of internet providers, the rest won’t come as a surprise to you. AT&T is one of the few providers with a gigabit plan that will cost you less than the impressive Optimum deals do. If you’re lucky enough to live in Optimum’s small coverage area, you’ll be able to save money and still get fast internet speeds. Below, we’ll take a closer look at Optimum as a company, break down their prices, tell you which plans we recommend, and answer the most frequent questions we hear from readers like you. To top it off, Optimum’s plans are contract-free with no data cap limitations. While there are less expensive cable internet plans from ISPs like RCN, Optimum’s fiber plans have ultra-fast speeds. With monthly prices starting from $44.99, cord-cutters can get fast speeds for a meager price. Optimum is the East Coast brand of Altice USA, a multi-service provider that offers cable and fiber internet plans with speeds up to 940 Mbps. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Dren splice body nudeIt suggests images of rampaging monsters of Resident Evil and the subtle alien life-forms of Species, however this is only partly true. Elsa stands up and is revealed to be pregnant with Dren's baby.‘Splice’ engages the audience with just the mere mention of the title. The head of the company then thanks Elsa for the personal risk that she is undergoing. Later on, Elsa is seen in the office of the pharmaceutical company's head and is given a massive amount of money in exchange for her silence and taking the experiment to the "next stage". Dren kills Clive with a toxic sting, but is dealt a fatal blow by Elsa when she smashes its head with a rock. As Dren is raping Elsa, Clive comes to the rescue, impaling Dren with a large sharp branch. Elsa pulls him out, but he is unconscious and Elsa flees. After killing her boss and Clive's brother, Dren drags Clive into a freezing pond. Suddenly, they are attacked by Dren, who was not dead, but apparently in some sort of coma as her body underwent changes that turned her into a male. Elsa tells her boss he can dig up Dren's body if he really wants to see it. They bury Dren near the farmhouse but before they leave, their boss from pharmaceutical company arrives, having figured out that there was some sort of human hybrid because of the DNA present in the protein they had finally synthesized. Deciding to deal with Dren, they go back to the farm, only to discover her body in the water tank, apparently dead. Elsa and Clive have a heated argument about Clive having cheated, during which he confronts her with his discovery that she used samples of her own DNA in the creation of Dren. Soon after, Clive is seduced by Dren and has sex with her, much to Elsa's disgust during her sexual encounter with Clive, Dren reveals that she has regenerated her stinger. She cuts off Dren's stinger and uses organic tissue from it to finally isolate and synthesize a protein they had been searching for. Elsa, who had formed a maternal bond with Dren, changes her mind after Dren shows violent behavior, killing her own pet cat out of spite and assaulting her. Meanwhile, Dren has become amphibious and omnivorous with a toxic sting and retractable wings coming out of parts of her arm and back. Their work at the company suffers as their attention is focused on Dren. Following this meeting, N.E.R.D., found itself in danger of going out of business unless they could find a profitable discovery. This led to a disastrous presentation during a company shareholders' meeting, when the two original hybrids, previously one male and one female very much in love with each other, became both male, saw each other as rivals and bloodily killed each other in front of a shocked audience of shareholders and potential investors. One of the original hybrid animals that they had created, which was originally female, had changed sex, unbeknownst to the preoccupied Clive & Elsa. As their lab becomes exceedingly crowded, and the risk of Dren being discovered increases, they move Dren to Elsa's late mother's farm. They name their creature Dren (nerd backwards), who exceeds their wildest dreams she begins to grow and learn at an accelerated rate. Though they disagree about actually bringing the hybrid to term, Elsa pushes the issue and she persuades Clive to go along with it, in continued secrecy. Not wishing to spend all their time engaged in what they consider mundane research for the next 5-10 years, Clive and Elsa secretly conduct their own experiments, blending human DNA with that of other animals. (Nucleic Exchange Research & Development), forbids it, instead mandating that their department be reorganized to focus on finding & extracting certain proteins from the creatures they have already created. But the pharmaceutical company that funds their research, N.E.R.D. Now they want to use human DNA in a hybrid that could revolutionize science and medicine. Genetic engineers Clive Nicoli (Adrien Brody) and Elsa Kast (Sarah Polley) achieve fame by successfully splicing together the DNA of different animals to create incredible new hybrid animals. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Star wars rose tico replaced with slug"Roll it again," he said in full Palpatinie voice. The Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S 4MATIC and the BMW X5 M both ripped to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The fully electric Tesla Model X is much quicker, teleporting to 60 mph in a blistering 3.3 seconds on high-performance tires but without (obviously) the hearty and satisfying 5.0-liter roar of the Sport. Despite being installed in an SUV weighing nearly 5600 pounds, the eight-pot jolted the Range Rover Sport to 60 mph from a standstill in 4.7 seconds on all-season tires, during which significant squat gives the driver a true sense of launching. The Range Rover Sport has the juice to warrant its label, packing a direct-injected, supercharged, and intercooled 5.0-liter V-8 that makes 510 horsepower. The paddle shifters felt small and criminally flimsy, too. The front seats were stiff, and the dark-aluminum interior trim wasn’t so much elegant as reminiscent of something in a far lesser vehicle, as the metal felt as if it were coated in plastic. The buttery-soft leather was wrinkled and slack in places on the rear seats, where there was a conspicuous lack of USB ports. The interior is filled with quality materials and has the premium look and feel of all Range Rover Sports, but given the Autobiography label and the $100,000 price tag, we felt slightly let down. The one major upgrade left off was the $2200 Rear Seat Entertainment package with 10-inch screens attached to the backs of the front-seat headrests. Our Sport also had the $4450 1700-watt Meridian audio system, the $900 Climate Comfort package (four-zone automatic climate control and a center-console cooler), the $1600 Drive Pro package (adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist), the $650 tow package, $400 Advanced Tow Assist, a $1300 head-up display, $900 Park Assist, $800 18-way massaging front seats, a $537 Protection package, and a $310 full-size spare tire. Even without this look, the Sport is one of the best-looking vehicles around, SUV or not, but we definitely dug this particular configuration. The $695 Corris Grey paint scheme lent our test vehicle a dramatic, shadow-lurking vibe, which was enhanced by the blacked-out roof, the $1700 Stealth package that adds dark-satin exterior accents, and the $1800 22-inch satin-black wheels. (These all are upgrades from the midrange Supercharged Dynamic trim.) Range Rover’s Autobiography label adds some heft to its already hefty SUVs on the 2017 Sport model we tested, it brought perforated leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, 16-way power heated and cooled front seats with memory, xenon headlamps, a special headliner, an 825-watt Meridian sound system, and aluminum interior accents. We tested a Range Rover Sport Autobiography listed at $111,837 after options. But the SVR is not the premier vehicle in the lineup, if we’re to believe Land Rover the flagship Sport, the company says, is the $95,445 Autobiography, which has a 510-hp version of the same supercharged V-8 and its own stylish exterior features and interior accoutrements. The base SE with a supercharged gasoline V-6 opens the pricing at $66,645 (the SE with a turbo-diesel V-6 is $68,645), while the 550-hp supercharged V-8 SVR bookends the range at $112,345. This proliferation has even extended to model lines, with the mid-size Range Rover Sport itself offered in seven different trim levels. 12/14/2023 0 Comments Steward health choice azIn February 2018, Steward announced that its top management will move to Dallas, Texas from Boston. In October 2017, Steward completed its acquisition of eighteen Iasis Healthcare hospitals in a deal that was reportedly for $2 billion. The merger made Steward the parent organization to thirty six hospitals across ten states, with revenues of nearly $8 billion. In May 2017, Steward announced a proposed merger with Iasis Healthcare, headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, making Steward the largest private for-profit hospital operator in the United States. In February 2017, Steward Health Care acquired eight hospitals from Community Health Systems, including three hospitals in Ohio, two in Pennsylvania and three in Florida. The deal became final in September, 2017. Steward said Medical Properties Trust would buy all of its hospital properties for $1.2 billion, lease the properties back to Steward, and pay $50 million for a five percent equity stake in the company. Steward lined up $1.25 billion from a real estate investment firm that will help the Boston-based company finance a national expansion, pay off debt, and return money to the private equity firm that bought it in 2010. In September 2016, The Boston Globe reported Steward Health Care System had made a deal to expand its operations. The company covers approximately three million full-risk patients through its integrated care network, hospitals, managed care and health insurance services in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. In June 2020, Steward became the nation's largest physician-owned health care system, after Steward physicians acquired a 90 percent controlling interest in the company. Steward Health Care was started by Ralph de la Torre, when Caritas Christi Health Care system was sold to the private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management in 2010 after the transaction, Caritas was converted to a for-profit company and renamed Steward Health Care. Steward Health Care is led by CEO Ralph de la Torre, a Cuban-American physician, engineer and cardiac surgeon. Headquartered in Dallas, Steward's integrated health care model employs 40,000 people at thirty-three hospitals and hundreds of urgent care, skilled nursing, and primary and specialty care medical practice locations across eight states. Steward Health Care is the largest physician-owned private for-profit health care network in the United States and attends to 2.2 million people during more than twelve million physician and hospital visits annually. |
